Receiver is a router: dynamic IP address

Can we run DHCP over a uni-directional link (with the tunnel backchannel)? The answer seems to be yes: the receivers can contact the feed via the backchannel once they're received the first packet, so everything should fly. This raises the possibility of using DHCP instead of ARP, hence all packets are IP.
